(Sumter County, SC)-- A possible connection between a suspected serial killer and a missing South Carolina woman is being investigated. Suspected Long Island serial killer Rex Heuermann was arrested in July in connection to three women whose bodies were found in Gilgo Beach, New York in 2010. The Sumter County Sheriff's Office is now investigating Heuermann in connection to the disappearance of Julia Ann Bean in 2017. There are reports that Bean may have been seen with someone who looked like Heuermann who was driving a truck similar in description to a truck found at Heuermann's Chester, South Carolina property.
