SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. — Sumter County authorities have arrested two people in connection to the severe injury of a small child. According to a statement released on Thursday by the Sumter County Sheriff's Office , 19-year-old Jeffery Mason Browder and 22-year-old Tristen Cheyenne Gladden, both of Sumter, have both been arrested and charged with abuse, great bodily injury upon a child, for an incident that occurred in early February. Investigators believe that on or around Feb. 3, Browder and Gladden "placed a child at unreasonable risk of harm" which led to six fractured bones in the unidentified six-week-old baby.
